THE Bureau of Immigration (BI) announced that it will be observing a 60% on-site work capacity from January 3 to 15, 2022.

In an advisory, BI Commissioner Jaime Morente shared that the move was in compliance with the approved recommendation from the Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases (IATF) placing the National Capital Region (NCR) on Alert Level 3.

“As an effect, all BI offices in NCR shall be operating during weekdays, and will observe a 60% on-site work capacity, while adopting applicable alternative work arrangements,” he stated.

Prior to the announcement, the BI operated on a minimum of 50% to a maximum of 70% skeleton workforce.

Morente also announced that fully vaccinated clients remain exempted from the BI’s online appointment system, subject to the presentation of their vaccination cards or certification prior to entry. Unvaccinated or partially vaccinated clients, however, remain required to set their appointments online.

The BI chief added that aliens reporting for the Annual Report 2022 are required to secure an appointment via http://e-services.immigration.gov.ph/.

He enjoined the transacting public to strictly observe minimum health and safety protocols while transacting with the Bureau’s offices.
