BBM way ahead in Magdalo survey
BARELY a little over two weeks before the scheduled May 9 polls, frontrunner Ferdinand ‘Bongbong’ Marcos is proving that he is well-entrenched to win the presidential race as he continues to lead in every poll conducted by various survey firms that include even those sponsored by the camp of some of his rivals.
In what could be a solid proof that he is well on his way to victory, Marcos topped even the Magdalo-sponsored survey conducted on April 5-7 this year by notching 60.9 preference rating.
Perennial second placer Leni Robredo is far behind him with only 23.4 percent followed by Ping Lacson at third with 2.6 percent.
The other remaining presidential candidates all received under one percent preference votes.
Magdalo Group is led by former Senator Sonny Trillanes, who is a known ally of Robredo and attack dog of Dilawans.
Magdalo Group is composed of mostly retired soldiers, and members of a cross-section of society that include urban poor groups and others.
To recall, Marcos also topped a survey conducted by Radio Mindanao Network and the Asia Pacific Consortium of Researchers and Educators (RMN-APCORE) which is a known supporter of Leni and from where she has a regular weekly radio program.
In the RMN-APCORE survey that was conducted on April 1-4 this year, Marcos obtained 59 percent, while Robredo was at 20.7 percent.
“Paano pa mananalo si Robredo kung sa mismong pa-survey ng Magdalo at RMN radio station niya ay malaki ang lamang ni BBM. Isipin mo, sariling grupo mo na at radio station kung saan ka nagpoprograma ay talo ka, ibig sabihin, wala talagang tiwala sa kanya ang masa,” said a political analyst who requested anonymity.
