PRESIDENTIAL frontrunner Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos has assured women will be empowered and that their voice will be heard and interests protected after he wins in the scheduled May 9 elections.

Marcos, the Partido Federal ng Pilipinas standard-bearer gave the assurance as the country celebrates March as National Women’s Month.

In the country, March 8 of every year is declared as National Women’s Day and March as Women’s Month to give due recognition to the contributions of Filipino women in our society.

I have always been an advocate for women empowerment,” he said.

Noong sinabi niya na gusto niyang maging Secretary of National Defense, hindi ako nag-atubili na sumang-ayon,” he said.

Marcos added that he has always believed that women can compete with men, and can match their abilities and performance or even surpass them, pointing out that it has always been displayed in his long years in public service.

Marcos likewise paid tribute to the women in his life, especially to his wife, Atty. Liza Araneta Marcos, for supporting him all the way. With Blessie Amor Vicente and Joanne Rosario (OJTs)
