Batangas PNP marks Nat’l Women’s Month

THE Batangas Police Provincial Office (BPPO), under Provincial Director Police Colonel Pedro D. Soliba and through the supervision of Police Regional Office (PRO) Calabarzon (Cavite/Laguna/Batangas/Rizal/Quezon) Regional Director Police Brigadier General Jose Melencio C. Nartatez, Jr., formally started the National Women’s Month celebration with the theme, “WE for gender equality and inclusive society” in conjunction with the flag raising and awarding ceremony held the other day at Camp General Miguel C. Malvar, Batangas City.

The president of Soroptimist International Batangas Downtown (SIBD) Susie Ann Blanco was the guest of honor at the ceremony, where she led the awarding of the outstanding “Aleng Pulis” of the BPPO.

Also part of the celebration, a parade was led by the Ambassadors for HOPE and Information Operation of the PNP-Provincial Community Affairs and Development Unit from Batangas PPO Camp to the Provincial Capitol, Batangas City, and vice-versa.

It aims to advance the plans and programs of the PNP in line with the advancement of women’s rights.

Also, there was a “Pamper Day” in partnership with SIBD which was supervised by District Director Pauline P. Bondad,e Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA), and the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP).

This “Pamper Day” features a trade fair, a make-up tutorial, and a 30-minute massage at the BPPO-covered court.

The purpose of such an activity is to give the women of Batangas PPO an opportunity to relax.

“Our women’s contribution to the order, safety, and peace of the community is enormous. Through them, who are empowered women, we can achieve true prosperity that makes our lives and the world better. Meanwhile, as part of the advocacy of the celebration of National Women’s Month, PNP Batangas continues to carry out activities related to gender equality and women empowerment,” said Soliba.
