Batangas passes validation for ‘Seal of Good Local Governance’
BATANGAS – The Batangas Provincial Government underwent a regional validation for the 2022 “Seal of Good Local Governance” on May 5.
The Regional Assessment Team, composed of provincial directors of the Department of the Interior and Local Government-Cavite/Laguna/Batangas/Rizal/Quezon (DILG-Calabarzon) and officials of DILG-Region 4A, passed the evaluation of the various Batangas Capitol offices, in relation to the ten assessment criteria or standards.
The assessment was led by DILG Provincial Director Abigail Andres and Provincial Planning and Development Coordinator (PPDC), Engr. Evelyn Estigoy.
In 2018, the provincial government, led by Gov. DoDo Mandanas, was cited the Seal of Good Local Governance (SGLG) Post-Conferment Qualifier award after being among the excellent governance awardees who passed all the criteria for the year 2017.
The Batangas Provincial Government previously won the SGLG awards in 2015 and 2016.
