Bacoor village declared critical zone amid COVID-19 cases hike

BACOOR CITY, Cavite – Mayor Lani Mercado-Revilla has declared Soldiers Hills Subdivision Phase 2 and 4 in Barangay Molino VI as a critical zone.

Twenty two homes have been placed under lockdown and under Strict Enhanced Community Quarantine (ECQ) April 16, 2021 in accordance to National Task Force (NTF) guidelines on Zone Containment Strategy.

The village has 36 active cases.

Under Revilla’s directive, nobody will be allowed to leave their homes affected by the lockdown for any reason. The City Social Welfare and Development will provide relief assistance to the families affected including homes in Phase 1 and 2.

Bacoor City has a total of 5,263 confirmed COVID-19 cases as of April 3, 2021, according to the City Health Office. Of this, 1,243 are active cases, 3,842 are recoveries and 178 are mortalities.

Molino VI is the 3rd barangay in the city which has highest confirmed and active cases with 206 total cases and 63 active cases. No. 1 is Molino III with 665 cases, 135 active cases, followed by Molino IV with 527 cases, 150 active cases.

Bacoor City has the highest number of COVID-19 cases in the province followed by Imus, Dasmariñas City and General Trias City.
