THE Alyansa Para sa Bagong Pilipinas senatorial slate is set to kick off its April campaign in Antipolo City on April 4,Friday.

The candidates will stage a major show of force in Rizal, the country’s 7th most vote-rich province and a rising political stronghold in Luzon.

This will be Alyansa’s first sortie of the month.

In 2022 presidential elections, Rizal has delivered 765,019 votes for President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.

Rizal, with over 1.67 million registered voters and a turnout rate of 81.03 percent, stands as a crucial battleground that could significantly influence the outcome of the May midterm elections.

As the provincial capital and lone component city, Antipolo is expected to draw thousands of supporters at the Ynares Center and energize Alyansa’s message of unity, development, and competent leadership.

Navotas City Rep. Toby Tiangco, Alyansa’s campaign manager, said launching April in Rizal shows the coalition’s focus on provinces that help determine national election outcomes.

“Rizal is a powerhouse. Its growth, its numbers, and its voter turnout show that this is where national momentum is built,” Tiangco said.

He said that Alyansa’s approach is rooted in performance and proven leadership that complements the development agenda of President Marcos.

“Our candidates are doers. They’ve delivered. When you combine that with infrastructure and economic vision of President Bongbong Marcos, Rizaleños will see a team truly worth supporting,” Tiangco said.

The Alyansa ticket includes former Interior Secretary Benhur Abalos, Makati City Mayor Abby Binay, Senator Ramon Bong Revilla, Senator Pia Cayetano, former Senator Panfilo “Ping” Lacson, Senator Lito Lapid, former Senator Manny Pacquiao, former Senate President Vicente “Tito” Sotto III, Senator Francis “Tol” Tolentino, ACT-CIS Representative and former Social Welfare Secretary Erwin Tulfo, and Deputy Speaker Camille Villar.

The April 4 rally will feature province-wide mobilizations, youth engagement activities, and coordination with Rizal’s local leaders.

Tiangco said Rizal represents the new face of the Filipino electorate, one that is urban, working-class and driven by results.

“Rizal is young, fast-growing, and full of potential. Alyansa is here to offer leadership that matches that energy and ambition,” he said.

As Rizal continues to emerge as a major political and economic force in Southern Luzon, Alyansa is counting on this momentum to set the tone for a strong and sustained national campaign throughout April.
