Nagbigay ng official statement ang ALV Pageant Circle, organizer ng Miss Grand Philippines pageant, tungkol sa kontrobersiya ng pagkakalaglag ni Herlene Budol bilang kandidata sa Miss Tourism World 2023 na gaganapin sa London.

Matatandaang si Herlene ang nag-uwi ng titulong Miss Phililippines Tourism sa Miss Grand Philippines kaya inakala ng marami na siya ang lalaban sa Miss Tourism World 2023.

Pero nagbigay ng pahayag ang Hiyas ng Pilipinas pageant na sila ang nakakuha ng franchise ng Miss World Tourism at sila umano ang may karapatang magpadala ng representative ng Pilipinas.

Sa official statement na ipinost ng ALV Pageant Circle sa Instagram ay sinabi nila na hindi naman nila kinumpirma na lalaban si Herlene sa Miss Tourism Worl pageant.

“ALV Pageant Circle would like to clarify that we have not yet issued any official confirmation regarding Miss Philippines Tourism 2023 Herlene Budol’s participation in the Miss Tourism World pageant.

“While we acknowledge the achievements of our reigning queen Justine Felizarta as the first runner-up in Miss Tourism World 2022, we would like to clarify that we have since ceased from using the Miss Tourism World Philippines title,” pahayag ng ALV Pageant Circle.

Ang titulong Miss Philippines Tourism ay generic title at wala raw obligasyon na sumali sa anumang international pageant.

“Our Miss Philippines Tourism title is a generic title with no contractual obligation to any international pageant. Henceforth, our choice of global pageant may vary year after year, depending on the ideals and visions of the organization.

“It has never been our intention to instigate any conflict of interest with our fellow pageant organizers whom we regard with mutual respect.”

Inanunsyo rin ng ALV Pageant Circle na ibang international pageant ang sasalihan ni Herlene.

“We are excited to announce that Miss Philippines Tourism 2023 will be competing in a different international tourism pageant, which we will announce very soon,” pagtatapos ng statement.
