All set for Sinag Liga Asya
BASKETBALL at its best will be in full display when the Sinag Liga Asya Kwarenta kicks off on Saturday, Oct 21 at the Ynares Sports Arena in Pasig City.
Sixteen teams featuring some of the country’s best and brightest players will see action in the event
The teams will be divided into two brackets
Bracket A presents a formidable lineup, including 521 Trading Inc, Malolos Republic, TatakGel-Biñan, San Pedro Mamba, J Project Clothing Shop, NBS, Cagayan Valley, and Pampanga.
In Bracket B, a fierce competition is ecpected with Cavite Don Facundo Sea Lions, MC Sports Management, VPD Trading, Sta. Rosa Saints, Tito Rex x Firewire, IGT Warriors, and Bayabas-Kennel Leap in the fold.
The tournament’s format promises to keep fans at the edge of their seats.
Teams will engage in a single round-robin competition within their respective groups, setting the stage for intense battles.
The top team from Bracket A will clash with the eighth-ranked team from Bracket B in the quarterfinals.
“Napag-usapan namin, dalawang grupo. SO A and B tig-walo and then single round each group walang matatapon. walang mga out after elimination. So top four each group yong top one ng A makakalaban ang number eight sa kabilang grupo that team be the group B,” said commissioner Santos
As the competition unfolds, the stakes will continue to rise. The tournament will reach its climax with the quarterfinals, semifinals, and the championship, which will be decided through a gripping best-of-three games format.
