NANANATILING buo ang suporta ng Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) at Philippine National Police (PNP) kay Pangulong Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr.

Ayon sa pahayag ng Presidential Communications Office, tapat at hindi tatalikuran ng AFP at PNP si Pangulong Marcos.

Umaapela si National Security Council Assistant Director General Jonathan Malaya sa mga kontra sa gobyerno na huwag nang isama ang AFP at PNP sa pulitika.

“Ang panawagan po ng National Security Adviser (Secretary Eduardo Año) is let us insulate our Armed Forces and the Philippine National Police from partisan political activities. Huwag po natin silang gagamitin because in any democracy, the Armed Forces is supposed to be neutral and apolitical – kahit po sino magpalit-palit ng administrasyon, iyon po ‘yung commander-in-chief,” pahayag ni Malaya.

“Hindi sila magbibitaw ng mga salita to withdraw support from the President just because someone asked them to do so. They are professionals, they know the chain of command and they respect the rule of the military hierarchy and they have loyalty to the current Commander-In-Chief, President Bongbong Marcos,” dagdag ni Malaya.

Ayon kay Malaya, mismong si Año ang nanawagan sa mga Pilipino na manindigan at huwag magpadala sa maling bugso ng impormasyon na naglalayong gibain ang national interest, partikular na ang usapin sa “gentlemen’s agreement” sa West Philippine Sea.

“We should not fall into a trap, which clearly shows and seeks to sow division in our country and weaken our resolve in asserting our sovereignty, sovereign rights and jurisdiction in the West Philippine Sea,” ayon kay Malaya, base sa pahayag ni Año.
