ACT Agri-Kaagapay Organization founded by Ms. Rodriguez
BECAUSE of her desire to help more poor Filipinos, businesswoman, philanthropist and former reporter Ms. Virginia Ledesma Rodriguez, has founded the ACT Agri Kaagapay Organization.
ACT Agri-Kaagapay is a non-stock, non-profit organization which aims to provide welfare development programs to most disadvantaged individuals and families in the country.
It was learned that the ACT Agri Kaagapay operation began last year in San Nicolas, Binondo, Manila until its services reached various sides of Metro Manila to Visayas and Mindanao.
According to Ms. Rodriguez, author of the book ‘Leave Nobody Hungry’ which tackles organic farming, in today’s era of modern technology, gadgets, and social media, the lives of every Filipino can easily change.
“Time really flies so fast. Another year end and a new year comes. It seems it was just like yesterday, and here, we are welcoming the year 2024. Looking back to all that has happened in 2023, we still have the same issues in life, particularly on how the Philippines struggle to fight food security and high prices in basic commodities especially in the agricultural sector,” Ms. Rodriguez said.
She added that the said challenges motivated her to establish the organization to focus on helping the “troubled sector” especially for millions of farmers in the country.
“Act Agri Kaagapay organization is not only a mere agricultural organization, but an organization with heart driven by a sincere goal to achieve real success in farming through different best practices and modern technology around the world,” she added.
“Soon, our country will no longer be affected by the food crisis once we unite to fight “poverty and hunger” by combining our experiences, knowledge, best practices, technology and development in agricultural areas”. she concluded.
