
ACT Agri-Kaagapay cites contribution of PH women
A FARMERS organization dedicated to fighting poverty recognized the role of women in society’s development as the group joined the celebration of International Women’s Month.
Civic leader and founder of Act Agri-Kaagaapay organization Virginia Rodriguez cited women as a foundation of home and society and assured that her organization would continue to extend help, particularly the small farmers and Indigenous people for their welfare and rights towards a “genuine and equal” future.
“I salute all the women for their contributions in supporting their families and the development of their communities and the country,” Rodriguez said, as she emphasized the importance of empowering women by enabling them to access both thee private and government programs.
The Act Agri-Kaagapay, a non-profit and non-political organization have played instrumental roles in rebuilding the lives of less fortunate by providing them financial and livelihood assistance in their respective communities.
Rodriguez, is author of the book title “Leave Nobody Hungry”, have led peaceful movements, coordinated humanitarian and relief initiatives, secured access to education, participated in local governance and provided livelihood opportunities to those in need.
She also cited the women around the world who have fought for equality, advanced human rights, and broken barriers. These women are extraordinary, and our worlds wouldn’t be the same without them.
A civic leader and philanthropist, Rodriguez represents women and Everyone, highlighting the collective responsibility for gender equality, not solely resting on women but involving everyone.
The active participation of women in seizing these opportunities is also essential.
Through the collaborative efforts of women and everyone, achieving gender equality becomes a tangible possibility.
