PHILIPPINE National Police chief, General Benjamin C. Acorda Jr. this week led the celebration of the 122nd Police Service Anniversary of the Police Regional Office 4-B where he and PRO4-B director Brig. Gen. Joel B. Doria honored outstanding Mimaropa police officers and men.

The PRO4-B covers the provinces of Oriental and Occidental Mindoro, Marinduque, Romblon and Palawan (MIMAROPA).

Leading the PRO4-B awardees was Oriental Mindoro Police Provincial Office director Col. Samuel S. Delorino, who was cited as the PRO4-B Best Senior Police Commissioned Officer of the Year for Operations.

Major Jeralyn D. Caluza was adjudged as the Best Junior PCO for Administration while Lt. John Herman B. Lat won the award for Best Junior PCO for Operations.

The Occidental Mindoro PPO, the Sablayan Municipal Police Station and the Calapan City Police Station were also cited for their exceptional accomplishments in the overall anti-criminality campaign of the PRO4-B.

With the theme “Nagkakaisang Pulisya at Pamayanan Tungo sa Mapayapa at Maunlad na Bansa,” the PRO4-B celebrated the 122nd PSA at Camp Brigadier Gen. Efigenio C. Navarro in Calapan City, Oriental Mindoro.

Also a former Mimaropa police official, Gen. Acorda lauded the awardees for their unwavering dedication and significant contributions to the PNP’s mission.

In his speech, the top cop commended the PRO4-B’s pivotal role in shaping the future of the nation even as he emphasized the importance of unity and commitment in the PNP’s endeavors.

He also took the opportunity to recognize the remarkable achievements of the Mimaropa police force under Brig. Gen. Doria, whom he cited for effectively leading the regional police force in its effort to enhance community safety and security.

The 122nd Police Service Anniversary not only pays tribute to the historical founding of the Philippine Constabulary on August 8, 1901 but also serves as a reminder of the PNP’s unwavering commitment to safeguarding the nation’s peace and security.
