Abalos designates new BJMP-NCR head
THE Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) has designated a new head of the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology – National Capital Region (BJMP-NCR).
Signed by Secretary Benjamin Abalos Jr., Department Order 2023-893 dated August 8 named Chief Supt. Russel Clint Tangeres as regional director of Metro Manila.
He replaced Chief Supt. Efren Nemeno who was brought to the National Headquarters as Deputy Chief for Operations (DCO) – the BJMP’s number 3 in command.
Prior to his new assignment, Tangeres who is a product of the Philippine National Police Academy (PNPA) Batch ’95, was Region 6 director.
