BIR surpasses collection target for October 2022
THE Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) surpassed its collection target for October 2022 by 1.48% or P 2.729 Billion.
This is based on the Bureau’s revised goal of P 184.030 Billion for the said month.
Compared to the BIR’s October 2021 actual collection (net of tax refund), the October 2022 net tax collection of P 186.759 Billion is higher by 15.20% or P 24.644 Billion.
For the cumulative collection of the BIR from January to October 2022, the BIR’s Total Collection (net of tax refunds) stood at P 1.919 Trillion, which is higher by 12.56% or P 214.213 Billion compared to net tax collections for the same period last year.
Said collections represent more than 97% attainment of the BIR’s revised goal of P 1.974 Trillion for the said period.
