TANZA, Cavite – Tourists are expected to flock to the beaches and resorts here in Cavite this summer season for the first time in two years – to take advantage of the more relaxed government’s quarantine standard of Alert Level 1 in the province.

In anticipation, the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG)-Cavite under Lieutenant Commander Ailene Abanilla, Cavite Provincial Tourism Office, and Cavite Police merged for information drive for safe travel, excursions, and vacations at tourist spots and resorts in the province.

According to Cavite Coast Guard Station Commander Abanilla, “Sa kasalukuyan po ay may sinasagawa tayong lifeguard qualification training dito po sa Bgy. Capipisa dito sa Tanza, kung saan po ay isang linggo pong magsasanay ang ating mga lifeguards sa pangunguna ng ating PCG-Special Operations Unit (SOU),” Abanilla said regarding their prep for the possible influx of tourists on beaches, especially in Noveleta, Tanza, Naic, Maragondon, and Ternate towns.

“Ngayon din pong araw ay nagdeclare na ng heightened alert ang ating National Headquarters in preparation po sa darating na Lenten season, kung saan po ay mas paiigtingin po natin ang pag-conduct ng Coastal Security Patrol at mag-establish din po tayo ng Malasakit Help Desk para tugunan po yung mga pangangailangan ng ating mga kababayan na pupunta sa ating mga beach resorts,” Abanilla added.

“Our colleagues continue to roam around the beach resorts and private resorts together with Cavite Police to remind the beachgoers in accordance with the minimum health standard such as wearing a face mask,” Abanilla pointed out.
