CLARK FREEPORT — Clark Development Corporation (CDC) will impose a “no vaxx or no COVID test, no entry” policy in this Freeport starting January 15.

In a memorandum issued by the state-owned corporation on Thursday, it stated that all workers, service providers, locators, and visitors in Clark will be required to show their vaccination and identification cards to be allowed entry in the Freeport.

CDC said electronic copies of vaccination and identification cards will also be accepted.

Meanwhile, unvaccinated individuals should present a negative antigen or RT-PCR result taken within 24 hours to be granted entry into the zone. CDC security will also be ready to refer them to the nearest medical facility outside the zone that offers antigen testing services.

According to CDC, in addition to the inspections at the gates, businesses inside the Freeport were also directed to require guests and visitors to present vaccination cards before entering their premises. Drivers and driver associations of Public Utility Vehicles (PUVs) were likewise asked to adhere to the policy before allowing passengers to board.

The state-owned firm will also conduct a secondary layer of inspections and random inspections in business establishments, offices, and residential areas inside the Freeport to ensure that the policy is being observed.

CDC president and CEO Manuel R. Gaerlan stressed the importance of practicing the minimum health and safety standards amidst the resurgence of COVID-19 cases in the country.

“The cooperation of the public is requested. Your safety is our priority. Mag-ingat po tayong lahat,” Gaerlan said.
