WHILE wishing the public a Merry Christmas, Ferdinand ‘Bongbong’ Marcos, Jr. has not forgotten the victims of super typhoon Odette as he announced that thousands gallons of water and thousands of filtration kits were sent to the affected areas.

In an interview with Anthony Taberna and Gerry Baja’s Dos Por Dos program aired over DZRH on Thursday, Marcos said the water and filtration kits were in time for the Christmas holidays.

Bongbong also noted that filtration kits are very vital since the majority of the affected areas were having problem of getting clean water.

Yung balde punuin mo ng tubig kahit saan galing,” he explained

The former senator added that a filtration kit can produce water for 100 people a day.

Bongbong also claimed that they know the needs of the people based on their experience during typhoon Yolanda which hit the country the hardest in 2013.

Tubig talaga is the first thing. After makapagdala ng pagkain, then tubig at ang susunod na ay yung reconstruction material,” Bongbong also noted.

As this developed, the former senator also announced that they are scheduled to send a ship to Palawan which was also severely affected by the typhoon.

The Bongbong and Sara Duterte team had earlier sent assistance in Siargao, Surigao, Bohol, Maasin, Cebu, Masbate and other areas hit by the typhoon.

They pledged to continue with their relief efforts and assistance even as the country celebrates Christmas and New Year.
