THREE newly identified drug pushers yielded more than P.2 million worth of shabu following their arrest in a buy-bust operation Thursday evening in Malabon City.

Malabon police chief P/Col. Albert Barot identified the arrested drug personalities as Mark James Sanchez, 21, of 103 Atis Road, Bgy. Potrero; Jenny Piquiz, 39, of 515 Macopa Road, Potrero; and Marie April Bernardo, 37, of No. 37 San Rafael St., Bgy. Sipak, Navotas City.

The suspects were arrested at around 9 p.m. along Macopa Road, Bgy. Potrero after they handed a plastic sachet of shabu to P/Cpl. Paulo Laurenz Rivera, who acted as poseur-buyer, in exchange for P500 marked money.

Malabon Police Station Drug Enforcement Unit chief P/Lt. Alexander Dela Cruz said they carried out the drug sting operation against the suspects following a weeklong surveillance and monitoring against Sanchez and his cohorts, after receiving a tip from a confidential informant about their illegal drug activities in the area.

Upon arrest, the three yielded more or less 30.8 grams of shabu with standard drug price of P209,440 placed in seven heat-sealed plastic transparent sachets.

Barot said the arrested suspects were presented for inquest proceedings before the Malabon City Prosecutor’s Office on charges for violation of selling and possession of dangerous drug under Article II of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drug Act of 2002.
