EPD’s anti-criminality drive nets success – OIC

ACTING Eastern Police District (EPD) Director Police Brigadier General Aden Lagradante vowed to intensify the campaign against illegal drugs, criminality, and other lawless elements with the arrest of 125 drug personalities in his first 14 days in office.

From April 13 to April 27, EPD conducted a total of 79 police operations. Among those apprehended were five identified high-value targets; 10 others were classified as street-level individuals with the confiscation of more than 550.32 grams of shabu and two grams of high-grade marijuana (KUSH), amounting to P3,745,196.

The EPD also arrested 10 Top Most Wanted Persons—including three at the district level and seven at the station level. The operations also nabbed nine other Most Wanted Persons and 54 additional wanted individuals.

In its continuous effort to promote a safe electoral environment, five individuals were arrested for violations of the COMELEC Gun Ban under the Omnibus Election Code.

Meanwhile, the campaign against illegal gambling yielded the arrest of 127 persons and the confiscation of P 34,865 worth of betting money.

I firmly commit that during my tenure as OIC, good moral values, respect, and integrity will serve as the foundation of the EPD Police Force—guiding every action towards greater achievements and ensuring a safer, more secure community for all.” Gen Lagradante said .

EPD said these milestones highlighted the steadfast commitment and professionalism of the men and women of EPD from four police stations of Pasig, Mandaluyong ,Marikina and San Juan (PaMaMariSan) and District Mobile First Batallion (DMFB) ,who work tirelessly to make Metro East a safer place to live, work, and do business.
