THE local absentee voting (LAV) for the QCPD on Monday started and was participated in by hundreds of personnel for the May 12 midterm elections.

According to QCPD Officer-in-Charge Colonel Randy Glenn Silvio, the (absentee) voting was held at the QCPD Gymnasium in Camp Karingal, QC., and attended by a total of 665 personnel.

The absentee voting will end today, April 30, giving the cops time to exercise their right of suffrage and choose the candidates they want as leaders.

Silvio said that by voting early, these policemen will be able to focus on their job in providing security during the upcoming poll day.

This initiative, he added, “reflects our commitment not only to serve and protect but also to actively engage in the democratic process.”

“The Local Absentee Voting is a vital opportunity for our personnel to fulfill their civic duty while maintaining their responsibility to ensure security during the upcoming elections,” Silvio stressed.

In line with its commitment to a safe, secure, and fair electoral process, the QCPD top cop called on all candidates and Qcitizens to cooperate, abide by the law, and help keep peace and order during the election period.
