RAIN or Shine rode on the trio of Santi Santillan Adrian Nocum and Gian Mamuyac to roll back Meralco, 128-116, for its second straight win PBA Philippine Cup at the Ynares Center in Antipolo City.

Santillan mocked all defenders to score 27 points while Nocum and Mamuyac added 24 points each for the Elasto Painters, who improved to 2-1 despite playing without big men Beau Belga (vertigo) and Caelan Tiongson (back spasms).

Felix Lemetti added 13 points, Gabe Norwood contributed 12 points and Jhonard Clarito had 10 points for the Yeng Guiao-mentored E-Painters.

Bong Quinto topscored with 20 points for Meralco, which suffered its third straight loss after winning the first two matches.

Chris Newsome managed only three points on 1-of-6 shooting from the floor for the Bolts.

Last Saturday, Magnolia clobbered Phoenix Super LPG 118-99, for its foruth straight win at the Zamboanga City Coliseum.

Hometown hero Mark Barroca came through with 18 points, six rebounds and five assists for the Hotshots, who kept the top spot ahead of idle San Miguel Beer (3-1).

Barroca’s homecoming and post-birthday party was complemented by the strong performances of Ian Sangalang, who finished with a team-high 20 points.

Paul Lee added 17 markers.
