PANGLAO, Bohol — True to his commitment to improving access to healthcare in Panglao, Bohol, reelectionist Councilor Jose ” Big Brother” Rodriguez successfully secured a Patient Transport Vehicle (ambulance) for the municipality through the support of PCSO General Manager Mel Robles.

The new ambulance, granted through Rodriguez’s formal request, will significantly boost the local government’s capacity to respond to medical emergencies and assist patients in need of transport to health facilities within Panglao.

“This is the result of persistent advocacy and genuine concern for the people of Panglao,” said Rodriguez. “We cannot delay life-saving services. This vehicle will serve as a mobile lifeline for our most vulnerable sectors.”

Rodriguez also praised the leadership of GM Mel Robles and the PCSO for continuing to provide essential medical assistance to local governments.

“I am deeply thankful to our friend GM Mel for recognizing our need and responding with compassion and urgency. This gesture shows what public service is truly about,” he said.

The Patient Transport Vehicle is expected to especially benefit senior citizens, persons with disabilities, and residents in far-flung barangays who face challenges in accessing timely medical care.

“Dako gyud ni’g tabang sa atong mga senior citizen, sa mga masakiton nga lisod ug biyahe, ug ilabi na sa mga barangay nga lagyo. Akong pasalamat sa PCSO ug kang GM Mel Robles, kay ilang gi-tagad ang atong hangyo para sa katawhan sa Panglao,” Rodriguez said.
