Dedicated lawmakers
THERE’S really that need to pack the two-chamber Congress – Senate and House of Representatives – with dedicated and well-meaning lawmakers.
It is incumbent upon the Filipino electorate to support lawmakers who are willing to work in unison with administration officials.
The legislative agenda, which is aimed at speeding up the nation’s socio-economic development, of the Marcos government needs the approval of Congress.
With the expected return of Speaker Ferdinand Martin G. Romualdez to the House of Representatives, people don’t worry about the fate of President Marcos’ legislative agenda.
“Sa tingin natin ay smooth sailing ang lahat ng mga programa at proyekto ng administrasyon sa Kamara de Representante,” said a political observer.
With Romualdez leading the day-to-day operations of the Lower House of Congress, expect the congressmen to rally behind the Marcos government.
Sending dedicated and hard-working men and women to Congress is a move in the right direction.
