AN anti-narcotics operation conducted by agents of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) in Dasmarinas City in Cavite last Tuesday led to the arrest of one of their top targets in Calabarzon region after he sold an estimated P10.2 million worth of shabu to an undercover officer, PDEA chair Director General Isagani R. Nerez announced yesterday.

Members of the PDEA National Capital Region Office, with the support of the local police, launched the successful operation, which resulted in the capture of the “high-value target” identified as alias “Sian,” 30, around 6:25 p.m. Tuesday.

Confiscated from the suspect were plastic bags containing around 1.5 kilos of the “poor man’s cocaine” valued at P10.2 million, the buy-bust money topped by several marked bills and several drug paraphernalia.

Nerez said the suspect is now facing non-bailable charges for sale and possession of prohibited drugs under Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
