A 14-year-old student was stabbed to death by her gay classmate inside their classroom Wednesday afternoon in Paranaque City.

Alias “Rodelyn”, a Grade 8 student of Moonwalk National High School in Daang Bata St. Bgy. Moonwalk, succumbed to four stab wounds in the body while being rushed to Hospital ng Paranaque 2.

The assailant, her 15-year-old gay classmate, was arrested by responding policemen and recovered from him a kitchen knife he used in stabbing the victim.

Initial investigation submitted to the office of Southern Police District (SPD) District Director P/BGen. Manuel Abrugena showed that the incident happened at around 1 p.m. in a classroom during a recess period.

Investigator on case P/SMS Gerry Mislang said the two had a long-standing grudge over a makeup which the victim refused to lend to the suspect.

Before the incident, the victim told her 53-year-old mother about the alleged frequent bullying she experienced from the suspect and their other classmates.

Her mother advised her to report the bullying to their teacher and guidance counsellor, however, she did not report them for fear that it might affect her grades.

On the fatal day, the suspect allegedly pointed a kitchen knife at the victim, prompting her to leave the classroom, and she reported the incident to a teacher in the adjacent room.

After the victim returned to their classroom, she was met by the suspect and without a word, he stabbed her repeatedly in different parts of her body in front of her classmates.

The suspect, who was turned over to Bahay Pag-Asa of the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), told the police that he was the one being bullied by the victim, prompting him to stab her.
