Bangladeshi gunned down in Batangas

A 43-YEAR-OLD Bangladeshi was gunned down by two unidentified motorcycle-riding men in front of a store in Lipa City, Batangas last Saturday.

Lipa City Police Station said Lt. Col Lory Tarrazona identified the victim as a businessman Shajad Miah, married, resident of FB Arty Subdivision, RM B-1, Karuhatan, Valenzuela City.

A telephone call from a concerned citizen was received by Lipa CPS personnel and reported the incident.

Case investigators PMSgs Rhayan Fernando A. Polintang III and Reuben James M. Mendoza along with PSSg Leo M. Lingao investigation showed the victim was seen standing outside at the 71 Band P. Trading Ltd., Inc. located on P. Torres St., Bgy. 5, Lipa City around 7:45 pm, October 2, when the two unidentified suspects riding a red Yamaha Mio Soul motorcycle with an unknown plate number arrived.

Without any apparent reason, the back rider fired shot at the victim several times prompting him to run. However, the suspects chased him and shot him again several times using caliber 45 pistol hitting the victim in different parts of the body.

The suspects immediately fled to an unknown direction and left the victim dead at the scene.

Police recovered nine pieces of fired cartridge casings and two deformed slugs for cal. .45 at the scene.

The Batangas Provincial Crime Laboratory Office (BPCLO) was requested for technical assistance and crime scene processing.
