Big game for TNT, Ginebra

TAKE your pick: TNT or Barangay Ginebra.
The Tropang Giga drew first blood in the PBA Commissioner’s Cup best-of-seven title showdown with a 95-89 victory over the Gin Kings last Friday.
Two days later, the Gin Kings struck back posting a 71-70 decision over the Tropang Giga.
Both games were played at the Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City.
On Wednesday, TNT and Ginebra lock horns again for Game 3 at the Philsports Arena in Pasig.
With the series now reduced to a best-of-five, both the Tropang Giga and the Kings are expected to go all out to secure Game 3 and take a big psyhological advantage in the race-to-four series inthis import-flavored conference.
And like in the first two games, both TNT coach Chot Reyes and Ginebra mentor Tim Cone expect another tight and interesting battle before another full-house crowd.
Game time is 7:30 p.m.
“They just showed true grit all the way through the game,” said Cone.
“We knew if we’re going to have a chance in the series, we have to show that character and that true grit.”
Cone admitted he is norbsatisfied with the victory.
“Obviously, they’re not going to be happy about the Game 2 loss, and though we’re happy we won, we’re certainly not satisfied,” said Cone.
“As well as we played defensively, we still don’t feel we played that well of a game on the offensive side so we feel there’s a lot of improvement. They’re going to improve, we’re going to improve. I think it’s going to be a hell of a game on Game 3 and the rest of the series.”

The results:
Game 1 — TNT 95, Ginebra 89.
