BLVCK Entertainment Production, Inc. and Blvck Music continue to contribute to OPM (Original Pilipino Music), as they release the new digital album of promising rapper, singer-songwriter Yhanzy, titled Something Yhanzy.

More than a decade ago, John Syrone Elesterio a.k.a. Yhanzy started singing, inspired by his father who’s a certified musician at heart.

Yhanzy, who hails from Sucat, Parañaque, a melting pot of hip-hop artists, is grateful to Jerome Pacayna who mentored him into songwriting and performing.

In 2015, Yhanzy joined the rap group, Musikalye, who gave the public such YouTube hits as Napagod Na, Takot Na ang Puso and Sana Ako Pa Rin.

On his own, Yhanzy also released songs such as Paulit-ulit, Hangganan and Kung Di Ka Dumating. His first entry into mainstream TV was through the It’s Showtime segment, HypeBest in 2018, a competition for Filipino rappers where he ended up as semi-finalist.

This 2024 marks a milestone for Yhanzy as he brings forth his Something Yhanzy digital album under Blvck Music with the carrier single, Liwanag ng Buwan. The song professes to a future partner.

Other tracks in the album are all penned by Yhanzy and are all about different kinds of love. Comebvck, Feb 13 (featuring Kritiko), Aasa Ba?, Mahal Ako and Tears Trap.

Yhanzy aims to inspire the youth with his own journey into the music industry. He wants to encourage young performers to pursue their dreams and always believe that there is nothing impossible with hard work, dedication and trust in God.

Blvck Music executives Louie and Grace Cristobal, who are both engineers, see a strong potential in Yhanzy. They know that the artist will definitely make a name for himself in the music scene as a songwriter and performer.

The digital album “Something Yhanzy” is now out on music streaming platforms. The music vide, Liwanag ng Buwan, is directed by Edrex Sanchez and can also be streamed through YouTube.

Recently, Blvck Entertainment and Blvck Music also introduced two new bands that will surely put your heartstrings with their dose of original hugot love songs.

Engineers Louie and Grace Cristobal believe that the music of the two, new bands will be added to the Gen Z’s playlist.

Tarlac-based band Sentidrama, will release their self-titled digital album under Blvck Music this December. The band is composed of Mac Concepcion (vocals), Paul Tiagarro (bass), John Ramil (guitar), Jake Puno (drums) and Lenogz Espelico (second guitar).

The band members all share a passion for playing music and have been in the Tarlac local band scene. At one point, they just got together and got along well, so they decided to form a new band. Thus, Sentidrama was formed.

As their name implies, the music of Sentidrama is “sentimental” and “dramatic,” that would definitely strike one’s emotions.

In 2021, a song that the band released, Liham, made it to the one of the themes in GMA Fantaseries, Heirs of the Night. Their carrier single is titled Pagtingin, a song that talks about one’s longing for the attention of the object of one’s affection.

Other tracks in the album are Ulap, Dating Ikaw, Sa Aking Tabi, Sana Ika’s Bumalik, Humawak Ka Lang, Kahapong Nagdaan, Labis and Pighati.

The other band under Blvck Music is Padayon, with a new, self-titled digital album to be released this December, as well.

The band promises to share new songs that will definitely touch the hearts of listeners and music lovers.

Padayon hails from Leyte who are active in their locality. They had a previous opportunity to release their original music in 2012 under a different music label. When their contract expired, some of the members left and pursued other careers.

The remaining members stayed and continued to reach their dream of releasing an album, thus the new name Padayon came to forth which means to carry on, move on and persevere.

Padayon are Caloy Sablawon (vocals), Roberto Jazz Repulda (lead guitar), Xilon Daep (second guitar), Robs Renomeron (drums) and Trix Rubenecia (bass).

The band’s carrier single, Kahit Na Sandali, is about the personal’s wish to be with a loved one who he/she lost with no clear closure. Completing the album tracks are Sa Aking Alaala, Dinggin Mo Sana, Ligaw Tingin and Hadlang.

Sentidrama and Padayon’s digital albums will be out of music streaming platforms middle of December.

Sentidrama’s Pagtingin music video, directed by Edrex Sanchez, can be streamed through YouTube starting middle of December. Padayon’s Kahit na Sandali music video, also megged by Edrex Sanchez, will also be on YouTube soon.
