JAPETH Aguilar redicovered his old form, Justin Brown played his usual self and Barangay Ginebra eked out a huge 110-101 win over Phoenix Super LPG in the PBA Governors’ Cup at the Ninoy Aquino Stadium.

Aguilar came through with 31 points and Brownlee added a triple-double with 23 points, 12 rebounds and 10 assists as the Gin Kings posted back-to-back victories for the first time in the import-flavored conference and improved to 3-2 in Group B.

The Gins also defeated the NLEX Road Warriors, 119-91,at the Smart Araneta Colisuemn last Sept. 3.

Ginebra coach Tim Cone is pleased with Aguilar’s strong performance.

“It’s a big adjustment for him because the minutes are going up, the touches are going up, the expectations for him defensively are also going up,” said Cone.

Cone said Aguilar will definitely have his hands full in Ginebra’s next game against the equally-hot Blackwater Elite on Tuesday.

The Bossing have won their last three assignments.
