WALA umanong puwang sa Bagong Pilipinas ang toxic politics at ang dapat na prayoridad ng mga lider ng bansa ay ang pagpapa-unlad sa bansa.

Ito ang sinabi ni Anakalusugan Rep. Ray Reyes matapos ang naging pahayag ni Vice President Sara Duterte na hindi ito dadalo sa ikatlong State of the Nation Address (SONA) ni Pangulong Ferdinand Marcos Jr. sa Hulyo 22 at itinatalaga nito ang sarili bilang “designated survivor.”

“We express great concern over the recent statements made by Vice President Sara Duterte regarding her self-appointment as the “designated survivor” for President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.’s upcoming State of the Nation Address. Such comments are not only in poor taste but also reflect a dangerous and outdated approach to politics that we must leave behind,” ani Reyes.

Ang “designated survivor” ay halaw sa isang Netflix series kung saan pinatay ang lahat ng pinakamatataas na opisyal ng Amerika at ang natira para mamuno ay ang designated survivor.

“The Vice President’s joke trivializes the serious matter of national security. As a nation striving for unity and progress, we cannot afford to indulge in toxic politics that undermine the trust and cooperation necessary for effective governance,” wika pa ng solon.

Ayon sa kongresista, ang toxic politics ay hindi kailangan sa Bagong Pilipinas.

“In Bagong Pilipinas, we envision a country free from the shadows of toxic politics. We are committed to fostering a political environment where respect, integrity, and constructive dialogue prevail. The progress of our nation depends on our ability to work together, prioritize the common good, and reject divisive and harmful rhetoric,” saad pa ng kinatawan ng Anakalusugan.

“Sa Bagong Pilipinas, walang lugar ang toxic politics. Our focus is on inclusive growth, transparency, and accountability. We call on all public officials to rise above petty politics and contribute positively to the nation’s development,” dagdag pa nito.

Iginiit ni Reyes na ang kinabukasan ng bansa ay nakasalalay sa uri ng pamumulitika ng mga lider.

“The future of our country hinges on our collective efforts to create a political culture that prioritizes the welfare of the Filipino people. It is high time we move beyond the politics of fear and division and work towards a united, prosperous, and resilient Philippines,” wika pa ni Reyes.
