
Minor files case vs lover for threat to upload private video
THE National Bureau of Investigation-Cybercrime Division (NBI-CCD) arrested an individual for physical abuse and threatening a minor victim pertaining to a private video.
The minor, together with her parents filed a complaint against the Subject for grave threats, slight physical injuries, and violation of RA 9262 (Anti-Violence Against Women and their Children Act of 2004) and RA 11930 (Anti-Online Sexual Abuse or Exploitation of Children and Anti-Child Sexual Abuse or Exploitation Materials Act), in relation to RA 10175 (Cybercrime Prevention Act of 2012).
According to the minor, she and the suspect were in a relationship.
But allegedly. out of jealousy, the suspect physically abused the complainant which started sometime in April 2024.
Further, the suspect allegedly threatened the minor that he would post their private video on social media.
was threatened by the Subject that he will post their private video.
On May 21, 2024, the complainant told the CCD that he threatened her again that he would post their private video if the former would refuse to meet him.
Thus, CCD operatives immediately conducted the entrapment operation which resulted in the arrest of the Subject.
The suspect was brought to NBI-CCD office for proper documentation, and was presented for inquest proceedings before the Office of the City Prosecutor, Quezon City on May 22, 2024.
