INAPRUBAHAN ni Pangulong Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. ang Executive Order No. 58 na-ina-adopt ang National Cybersecurity Plan (NCSP) 2023-2028 ng Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT).

Base sa dalawang pahinang EO, layunin nito na palakasin ang security at resilience ng cybersecurity ng bansa sa sa ilalim ng Philippine Development Plan 2023-2028.

“The NCSP 2023-2028 is hereby adopted as the whole-of-nation roadmap for the integrated development and strategic direction of the country’s cybersecurity,” saad ng EO na nilagdaan ni Executive Secretary Lucas P. Bersamin noong April 4.

Sa ilalim ng Section 15 ng Republic Act 10844 o DICT Act of 2015, nakasaad na bumuo ang departamento ng NCSP 2023-2028, na bumabalangkas sa policy direction at operational guidelines tungo sa trusted, secured, at resilient cyberspace sa bawat Filipino.

Inaatasan ng EO ang lahat ng concerned national government agencies at instrumentalities at local government units (LGUs) na suportahan at makipagtulungan para maging matagumpay ang implemenyasyon nito.

Inaatasan ang DICT na makipagtulungan sa pribadong sektor na magbigay ng technical assistance sa mga government agencies at offices.

Pinagsusumite ang DICT ng bi-annual report kaugnay sa status at progress ng programa sa Office of the Executive Secretary at National Cybersecurity Inter-Agency Committee (NCIAC).

Magiging epektibo ang EO matapos mailathala sa Official Gazette, o mga nangungunang pahayagan.
