Chinese worker in raided Pasay POGO hub held for drugs
ONE of the Chinese nationals arrested inside two banned POGO hubs-turned prostitution and other illegal online activities hub in Pasay City is in hot water after a suspected shabu was discovered among the food delivered to him last Saturday.
The foreigner was placed under arrest after two plastic sachets containing some P13,000 worth of suspected shabu were found concealed in some of the food items delivered to him, according to Presidential Anti-Organized Crime Commission (PAOCC) Executive Director Gilbert Cruz.
An initial investigation showed that the unnamed Chinese was allowed to receive the food he ordered from a fast-food outlet on Saturday night.
However, officers who were under orders to thoroughly inspect all food deliveries to the raided POGO personnel to prevent the possible smuggling of drugs, alcohol and cigarettes, discovered the suspected shabu among the food items.
The delivery rider who brought the food is already being sought for investigation by the police even as the Chinese national was subjected to a drug test.
He will be facing a case for violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
The Chinese national was among those rounded up at the raided Freego Computer Gaming OPC and Xuxhen Technology Corp. last October 27.
The raid at this POGO hub triggered the administrative relief of the Pasay City police chief and 26 of his men for their failure to detect the presence of illegal activities in the raided establishments.
