‘Puga’ mistaken for chicken bones in septic tank nabbed
Camp Vicente Lim, Canlubang, Laguna–A detainee who bolted the prison was recaptured only after his body was mistaken for chicken bones in NBP compound in Muntinlupa.
The detainee was recaptured in Bgy. San Isidro, Angono, Rizal, according to the police.
Calabarzon Regional IVA Director P/BGen. Carlito Gaces and Lt. Gen. Rhoderick Armamento, Area Police Command-Southern Luzonl Commander presented Thursday the fugitive as Michael Angelo Cataroja, 26, of Sitio Minahan Bato.
Police said the detainee, in jail for carnapping, was reportedly missing for over a month and his bone was said to found in a septic tank in the Bureau of Correction in Muntinlupa.
Reports said the detainee managed to escape from New Bilibid Prison Maximum Security Compound last July 15.
Armamento said the arrest of Cataroja couldn’t have happened without the help of a concerned citizen.
