
Eleazar to join Umali’s ‘unli-rice’ free distribution in Nueva Ecija
CABANATUAN CITY – Philippine National Police (PNP) Chief General Guillermo Lorenzo T. Eleazar is coming to Nueva Ecija very soon and promised to personally join Gov. Aurelio M. Umali in the provincial government’s free rice distribution program in the barangays, the governor’s camp said in its social media post on July 7.
The Facebook page of Serbisyong Matapat para sa Novo Ecijano (SMPNE) bared the Chief PNP’s plan after Umali met him during a visit at his office in Camp Crame on Wednesday afternoon.
Its FB page also showed photos of Umali with General Eleazar, including a snapshot of the governor handing over a souvenir book of Nueva Ecija to the country’s top cop.
The page showed Umali was accompanied inside the general’s office by his elder brother Gil Raymond M. Umali, Father Arnold M. Abelardo, spokesman of the provincial inter-agency task force, former Guimba mayor Bopet Dizon and Sonny Cariño.
The governor briefed the Chief PNP about the various programs and plans being pushed by his current administration against COVID-19 as chairman of the provincial IATF.
Father Abelardo, chairman of Ako ang Saklay, Inc., a community-based drug rehab program based in San Antonio, Nueva Ecija, said the visit was a “simpleng kumustahan and kuwentuhan” on how the province under Umali’s leadership is responding to the pandemic, when it comes to the farmers’ needs and the communities’ with the help of the various local government units, the police, other stakeholders and mission partners in the province.
Umali also expressed his full support to the PNP under Eleazar’s leadership, noting that the Nueva Ecija provincial government under his helm remains committed to work hand-in-hand with the police in the preservation of peace and order throughout the country.
As of this writing, the said FB post of SMPNE already generated more than 2.2k reactions, 135 comments and 242 shares from netizens. Its six photos got a total of 763 reactions of like and heart emojis.
A netizen named Allaine Castillo commented: “Sana po sa barangay namin matapat pagdalaw ni Gen Eleazar, followed by two emojis of a smiling face with two heart eyes.”
Allan Cuevas, another netizen said: Saludo po kami sa inyo gen. Eleazar hihintayin poh namin ang inyong pagbisita dito sa aming lalawigan na unli rice na ngayon dahil kay gov oyie umali.”
