Startup QC program simula na
MULING binuksan ng Quezon City government ang kanilang “Startup QC Program” para sa mga bagong aplikante na bubuo ng bagong batch ng incubatees o Cohort 2.
Layunin ng programa na lumikha ng trabaho at ma-develop ang start-up ecosystem ng Quezon City sa pamamagitan ng paglalaan sa mga qualified entrepreneurs ng equity-free financial grants nang hanggang P1 milyon.
Kasama sa mga vision ni Mayor Joy Belmonte, layunin din ng programa na gawing startup at innovation capital ng Pilipinas ang Quezon City.
Magkatuwang sa pagsusulong ng programa ang Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT), Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), Ateneo de Manila University, Miriam College, Technological Institute of the Philippines, Thames International Business School, University of the Philippines-Diliman at Launchgarage.
Sa paunang operasyon nito, mayroong 5 startups ang napili na maging bahagi ng StartUp QC’s first cohort tulad ng Bamboo Impact Lab, EdukSine, Indigo AI Research, ITOOH Homestyle, at Wika.
“These startup finalists went through an extensive and rigorous application and screening process following a set of criteria that places high standards on innovativeness, creativity, sustainability and social relevance, among others, which I believe reflect the shared values and ideals of our City,” pahayag ni Belmonte.
Upang maging karapatdapat sa P1,000,000 financial grant, ang mga mapipiling startups ay makikiisa sa mga tailored Learning, Engagement and Development (LEAD) Sessions hinggil sa ibat ibang topics na susuporta sa kani-kanilang business goals.
Para sa second cohort (Batch 2), may hanggang July 12, 2023 alas-5 ng hapon ang lahat ng aplikante upang maka qualify sa initial round.
