ON Father’s Day, Malasakit Help Desks (MHDs) set up at Civil Aviation Authority (CAAP) operated commercial airports throughout the country distributed Malasakit Help Kits to arriving and departing fathers arriving at the passenger terminals.

The kits contained drinks, light snacks, and hygiene items such as wet wipes and sanitizers.

CAAP-operated airports initiated the distribution of Malasakit Help Kits to passengers as an act of appreciation for their continued patronage of the country’s airports.

“In many ways, our fathers impacted our lives and contributed to who we are today. We are happy to join the world in celebrating Father’s Day. We want to show our appreciation for all the fathers out there who are working hard to provide for their families,” said CAAP Director General Captain Manuel Antonio Tamayo.

Tuguegarao Airport, Romblon Airport, Dipolog Airport, Tacloban Airport, Ormoc Airport, Biliran Airport, Maasin Airport, Hilongos Airport, Catarman Airport, Catbalogan Airport, Borongan Airport, Guiuan Airport, and Calbayog Airport joined the Father’s Day celebration.

Malasakit Help Kits have been regularly distributed on other special occasions such as Mother’s Day, International Women’s Day, Valentine’s Day, as well as during “Oplan Biyaheng Ayos” campaigns in dense transit seasons such as Christmas, All Saints’ Day and All Souls’ Day (Undas), Holy Week, and school opening.
