483 new COVID cases among Pinoys abroad

THE Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) yesterday reported 483 new COVID-19 cases among Filipinos abroad due to the increase in cases in a country in the Middle East.

In a statement, the DFA also said it received reports of seven new fatalities and seven new recoveries.

The total number of countries and territories with confirmed cases among Filipinos overseas remains at 91.

To date, 17,064 total confirmed cases were reported; 5,921 are undergoing treatment; 10,077 recovered; and 1,066 deaths.

The DFA said it is committed to monitoring the situation of overseas Filipinos and will remain steadfast in promoting and protecting their welfare amidst the pandemic.
