4 PA OLYMPIANS MAY AYUDA MULA KAY SPEAKER
NAGBIGAY ng cash assistance ang tanggapan ni Speaker Ferdinand Martin G. Romualdez sa apat pang atleta na kakatawan sa bansa sa paparating na Paris Olympics.
Bilang kinatawan ni Speaker Romualdez, iniabot ni Deputy Speaker at Antipolo 1st District Rep. Roberto Puno ang cash assistance sa apat na manlalaro sa isang simpleng seremonya sa Kamara de Representantes hapon ng Lunes.
Si Puno ang kasalukuyang pangulo ng Association of Boxing Alliances in the Philippines (ABAP), ang governing body ng amateur boxing sa bansa.
“As we look forward to the Paris Olympics, I am filled with immense pride and admiration for our Filipino athletes who exemplify the spirit of excellence and resilience,” sabi ni Speaker Romualdez sa kanyang mensahe sa mga atleta.
“This financial support is more than just a means to ensure you have the necessary resources to compete in Paris; it is a solemn affirmation that the House of Representatives and the entire nation are rooting for you in your quest to bring honor and glory for our country,” saad pa nito.
Ang mga nabigyan ng cash assistance ay ang mga boxer na sina Nesthy Petecio, Hergie Bacyadan at Aira Villegas, at fencer na si Samantha Kyle Lim Catantan.
Sila ay sinamahan ni Marcus Manalo, executive director ng ABAP.
Noong Mayo 30, nagbigay din ng cash assistance ang Office of the Speaker sa mga gymnast na sina Levi Jung-Ruivivar at Carlos Edriel Yulo.
Ito ay bukod pa sa pagbibigay ng cash assistance ng tanggapan ni Speaker Romualdez sa mga weightlifters na sina John Ceniza, Eireen Ando at Vanessa Sarno, at rower na si Joanie Delgaco.
Ang lahat ng mga Pilipino na kakatawan sa Pilipinas sa Paris Olympics ay makatatanggap ng financial support sa Office of the Speaker.
