CAGAYAN – Four men who created trouble inside a KTV bar in Gonzaga, Cagayan, last Sunday were arrested by pursuing policemen and charged with violating the Omnibus Election Code after they yielded unlicensed guns, Police Regional Office 2 (PRO2) Director Brigadier General Steve B. Ludan said yesterday.

Ludan said the four suspects are all from Barangay Pattao in Buguey municipality.

According to the official, an investigation conducted by the local police showed that the four created a scene while drinking inside a KTV bar in Bgy. Paradise in Gonzaga town.

Witnesses said that one of the suspects fired a pistol triggering panic in the area before escaping.

However, alert policemen intercepted the four and placed them under arrest after they were found in possession of two calibers .45 pistols with two magazines containing 19 live ammunition, an empty magazine, a holster, and a knife with a scabbard.

Gonzaga Police impounded the suspects’ Toyota Hilux.

Brig. Gen. Ludan said that investigators recovered 13 spent cal. .45 casings at the place of the indiscriminate firing incident.

He said that the four are now facing charges for alarm and scandal and gun ban violation. By Alfred Dalizon
