4 candidates file COCs vying for Cavite’s 7th district seat
FORMER Trece Martires City Mayor Melencio De Sagun Jr., Cavite 7th District Board Member Ping Remulla, accompanied by his brother Abeng Remulla, Jose Angelito Aguinaldo, and Michael Angelo Santos, filed their certificate of candidacies (COCs) on the two-day filing.
The potential candidates will run for the congressional seat of the seventh district of Cavite province in a special election on February 23, 2023.
The COCs were received at the office of Atty Mico Morales-Castro, Cavite Provincial Election Supervisor, Commission on Elections (Comelec) in Trece Martires City.
According to Atty. Morales-Castro, a “four-corner” fight, will battle for the post left by Department of Justice Secretary Jesus Crispin “Boying” Remulla.
