TATLONG milyong trabaho ang target na likhain ni Pangulong Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. sa ilalim ng Trabaho Para sa Bayan plan ng Department of Labor and Employment pagsapit ng taong 2028.

Sa talumpati sa National Employment Summit sa Manila, hinikayat ni Pangulong Marcos ang labor sector na tiyakin na maayos na maipatutupad ang TPB plan.

“In line with our priorities, and the outcomes that we desire, and strategies stated in the Philippine Development Plan, the Philippine Labor and Employment Plan, the Strategic Investment Priority Plan, and the Workforce Development Plan, the TPB Plan will be one of the driving forces to help create at least three million new jobs by the year 2028,” pahayag ni Pangulong Marcos.

“Beyond generating employment, what we want to achieve is creating quality jobs, with special emphasis on ensuring workers’ welfare, empowerment, competitiveness, and security in all sectors of our labor sector,” dagdag ng Pangulo.

Pakiusap ni Pangulong Marcos sa mga manggagawa, paigtingin ang pagsasanay sa sarili lalo’t kompetensya na ngayon ang mga artificial intelligence (AI).

Pinagsusumikapan din naman aniya ng gobyerno na tugunan ang job-skills mismatch, underemployment, at unemployment sa pamamagitan ng pagpapatupad ng reporma sa education curriculum.

“We have exciting times that lie ahead. We look forward to the new jobs, the new sectors, the new opportunities that are waiting for us and for the Philippines,” pahayag ni Pangulong Marcos.
