COMBINED agents of the Philippine National Police Drug Enforcement Group and the Quezon City Police District on Friday arrested three top drug targets in Q.C. during an anti-narcotics operation inside a small hotel which led to the confiscation of 500 grams of shabu worth P3.4 million, PDEG director, Brigadier General Eleazar P. Matta said yesterday.

Members of the PDEG Special Operations Unit National Capital Region and the QCPD under Colonel Melecio M. Buslig Jr. conducted the sting in a hotel located in Barangay San Martin de Porres, Q.C.

“We have dismantled a major drug trafficking network in Metro Manila with the arrest of the suspects,” said Brig. Gen. Matta.

The official said the arrested suspects during the operation were ‘high-value individuals’ described as a 40-year-old male from Baras, Rizal; a 41-year-old male from Port Area, Manila; and a 40 year-old female from Q.C.

Confiscated from the trio were 10 heat-sealed plastic sachets containing approximately 500 grams of shabu valued at P3.5 million and the buy-bust money topped by a marked bill.

The suspects were charged with violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 for the sale and possession of prohibited drugs.
