2 most wanted caught
POLICE Regional Office 9 director Brigadier General Ronaldo Genaro E. Ylagan on Friday announced the capture of two most wanted persons in Western Visayas this week.
He identified the wanted murder suspect as Melchor Am-is, a 53-year-old vendor, and Sunny Dag-Uman, 50, wanted for a frustrated murder case.
Ylagan said that Am-is, the 5th most wanted man in Ramon Magsaysay, Misamis Occidental, was tracked down and arrested along the national highway in Purok 4, Bgy. Mialen in Clarin municipality by the local police last Monday.
The suspect is the subject of a warrant of arrest for murder with no bail recommended by Judge Loreto Quinto of the Aurora, Zamboanga del Sur Regional Trial Court (RTC) Branch 30.
On the other hand, Dag-uman was placed under arrest on the basis of a warrant for attempted murder issued by Judge Jeric Kagaoan of the Imelda, Zamboanga Sibugay RTC Branch 31.
