
2 HVTs yield over P7-M shabu in Angeles sting
OVER P7 million worth of drugs, gun and bullets on Sunday were confiscated from two male “high-value targets” in an entrapment operation in Bgy. Malabanias, Angeles City, Pampanga.
In a report to Police Regional Office 3 director Brig. Gen. Jean Fajardo, Angeles City police acting director Col. Joselito Villarosa Jr. identified the suspects as alias “Usup,” 36, of Bgy. LNW, Angeles City; and alias “Tobats,” 31, a mechanic, and a resident of Bgy. Lourdes Sur, Angeles City.
Station 4 commander Maj. Marlon Ventus said operatives of the City Inteligence Unit, Angeles City Police Station launched the buy-bust on the two suspects allegedly involved in victimizing Korean nationals at Korea Town in Bgy. Anunas, Bgy. Balibago and Bgy. Pampang.
Coordination was conducted with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency Regional Officer 3 for the operation, along with the Station Drug Enforcement Unit personnel of Police Stations 4 and 6, Angeles City Drug Enforcement Unit, and the CIU, which resulted in the arrest of the two suspects and confiscation of around 1,043.01 grams of suspected shabu worth P7,092,468.
Also seized were one cal. .45 gun, suppressor/silencer and 12 live bullets, drug paraphernalia, a vehicle used in the illegal drugs trade, and the marked and boodle money.
The arrested suspects will be charged with violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, Republic Act 10591 or the Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act and the Omnibus Election Code.
