2 big-time drug peddlers busted in Lucena
LUCENA CITY — The city police force on Saturday has scored anew in its anti-drug campaign with the arrest of two big-time drug pushers and the confiscation of more than three million pesos worth of illegal drugs at Purok Ilang-Ilang 1, Bgy. Silangang Mayao, this city.
Quezon police director Col. Ledon Monte identified the arrested duo as Christian Enverga alias “Mayor,” 43, of Bgy. Silangang Mayao; and Antonio Ruel San Vicente, alias “Ton ton,” 40, a resident of Bgy Domoit.
Monte said both suspects have been included in the city police’ list of “high-value” individuals.
He said the suspects were caught during a drug buy- bust carried out by operatives of the Lucena City Police Station under Lt. Col. Ruben Ballera.
Seized from the suspects were 13 transparent plastic sachets containing 159.06 grams of shabu with an estimated street value of P3, 244, 824 and 10 marked P1,000 bills.
The official told this writer that both suspects have previous drug cases following their arrest in separate buy-bust operations some time ago.
