2 Bataan fishers nabbed for ‘rape’ of teen girls
TWO young fishermen were arrested in the alleged rape of a 15-year-old girl with an intellectual disability and a 17-year-old friend in Bataan.
In a report to Bataan Police acting director Col. Rommel Velasco, Abucay Police commander Allan Salalila said the 2 victims along with their mothers filed the rape complaints against suspects Dominic Engcoy, 19, and Antonio Millares, both fisherman and residents of Lati St., in Bgy. Omboy, Abucay.
The victims told police they were walking home Sunday evening when they saw the 2 suspects who were allegedly under the influence of liquor.
The 2 suspects approached them, covered the victims’ eyes and tightly held their hands, and threatened to kill them if they resisted.
The suspects took the 2 girls to a secluded place and raped them.
Members of the Abucay Police conducted a follow-up operation which led to the arrest of the 2 rape suspects.
The victims were brought to the Bataan General Hospital And Medical Center for medico-legal examination while the suspects are now detained at the Abucay Municipal Jail and will face rape raps.
