Zambo reaches COVID-19 recovery at 95.44%

ZAMBOANGA CITY – The recovery rate from the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) here now stands at 95.44% with 27,418 individuals having recovered from the infection since the pandemic started 2 years ago, according to the City Health Office (CHO).

The CHO, however, stressed that confirmed cases continue to increase with cumulative cases now at 28,726, in which 106 are active infections with 1,202 deaths.

The CHO data showed that 100% of the active cases were acquired through community transmission.

The health status of active cases are as follows: asymptomatic, 68.5%; mild symptoms, 27.9%; moderate, 2.7%; severe, 0.3%; and critical, 0.6%.

The local health office said that 1,192 of the 1,202 registered deaths are from the community, 4 persons deprived of liberty (PDL), 3 detainees, while the rest are either authorized persons outside residence (APOR), locally stranded individuals (LSIs), or from the Bureau of Corrections (BuCor).

The Inter-Agency Task Force for the management of Emerging Infectious Disease (IATF-EID) has placed the city under Alert Level 1 from March 1 to March 15.

Residents are advised not to be complacent even if the city is under Alert Level 1. Philippine News Agency
