Young ‘peeping Tom’ arrested for ‘kotong’
INFANTA, QUEZON— Police operatives on Thursday arrested a 20 year- old man for extorting cash from his 17 year- old neighbor at Brgy. Pulo in this coastal town.
Quezon police director Col. Joel Villanueva said said Danny Boy Gallardo, of Purok Katarungan, Brgy. Tonggohin was caught red- handed with P5,000 during an entrapment carried out by operatives of Infanta police station under Major Francis Aldrich Garcia.
Villanueva said the arrest stemmed from a complaint lodged by the victim’s mother against the suspect.
In a phone interview, Garcia said the victim alleged that Gallardo secretly took photos while she was changing clothes through her room’s window without her knowledge.
“Binosohan po niya ako at kinunan ng larawan sa bintana habang ako ay nagpapalit ng damit,” the victim told probers.
Garcia said the suspect then talked to the girl and demanded P5,000 cash in exchange for the nude photos.
Garcia said the suspect was arrested during the entrapment conducted at the Mangrove Sea Foods and Restaurant in Brgy. Pulo. A Vivo cellular phone containing the nude photos of the victim and a knife were recovered from the suspect.
The suspect was charged with direct assault, robbery extortion and violation of the Anti- Photo and Video Voyeurism Act of 2009 (RA 9995), R.A.7610 and Batas Pambansa blg 6.
